Vintage Western Tooled Leather “Bettie” Purse by Tony Lama
This beautifully handmade Tooled leather purse is so neat. I’ve seen purses like this before, but not with this much detail.
First, the name Bettie is inscribed on the very front, there are 4 little decorative metal hearts, white hand painted threading on the top and body of the purse, little tassels with little blue heart beads, and a little metal twist clasp on the front that still works well. It is missing a few of the blue heart beads, but it isn’t very noticeable.
There is some wear throughout and some light pencil marks on the inside, but other than that, the straps are strong and so is the body of the purse itself. I think the wear gives it a cooler look in this case.
I don’t know who Bettie was, but she had great taste!
